The Live Cams on the Wildlife Whisperer website are proving very popular, especially as we are getting closer to the new breeding season for garden birds. Several of the boxes are used for roosting every night and are regularly visited during the day. As I type (8.52am) I'm watching a mouse feasting on sunflower hearts that have fallen from the feeder hanging above!

One of the cameras is pointed at an active bird feeder and is regularly visited  by blue tits, great tits, robins, finches and more which is great to watch but I wondered if there was a way to get a feeder eye view of the action?

So, last night I knocked up a quick experiment! I took one of our feeders (with the largest diameter) and placed a mini camera (fitted with a wide angle lens) inside, looking out over one of the perches. I drilled a hole to allow the lens to poke through ensuring that the image isn't distorted by the curverd surface of the feeder tube.

Have woken up this morning to pouring rain outside so not a lot of feeding birds! I'll have to wait a while longer to see if the experiment works!
