About Me

.:: Follow me on Twitter .::. Photography Portfolio ::.

My name is Will Nicholls and I am a 16 year old wildlife photographer from Haydon Bridge in Northumberland.

I won the title of "Young British Wildlife Photographer of the Year" in 2009 and gained a Highly Commended in the same competition in 2010. When I was 14, I was listed as the only under 18 in Photography Monthly magazine's UK Top 50 photographers.

I aspire to be a naturalist and would love to broadcast and present documentaries all over the world. In 2009, I travelled to Ethiopia to renovate a school for a small mountainous community and trek through the Bale Mountains. On this trip I managed to spot a Prince Ruspolis Turaco, one of the fifty rarest birds in the world and a sight I shall never forget. In the summer of 2012 I will be thrown into the Borneo jungle for a month and will be doing conservation work in the jungle.

I have now hidden my hide further in the trees, away from the vigilant buzzards in the hope that they will come to feed on some…

Your trailer certainly incapsulated artistic work and beauty in a short time! Well done!

Hi Will, Thanks for the friends invite - I'm happy to accept. Been a member on here for just over a year now but haven't really got into it yet.

Anyway, no further news to report on our Kingfishers yet but I'll keep you posted.

Regards, Jeff
