Thanks for inviting me to be your Wildtalk friend, hope you get confirmation on the identity of your mystery bird, I am fairly certain it is an immature moorhen  - not sure if the immature coot looks similar bur hopefully someone with more experience will confirm (or refute and come up with an alternative!).
