This morning I noticed two Blue Tit and Great Tit Males in my garden were feverishly hoovering up food and taking it back into the bushes in our garden! I wonder if they are feeding a female on eggs?

I've been using my canon 350D happily for the last 4 years, successfully cleaning the sensor when necessary and now I have a problem I can't fix myself.. I noticed a distracting black speck in the view finder last night so I thought 'no problem, I will just clean the sensor'.  Well, I cleaned the sensor and everything is pin-sharp and clear except these ruddy specs which - with some tilting of the body under a bright light - I discovered are actually on the focusing screen. Oooh!!

I have Reed Buntings at my feeders!!



I've always wanted to see this little bird since I got my first Bird book when I was about seven or eight. I am lucky enough to live within walking distance of a nature trail which has a reserve were Reed Buntings are supposed to hang out and I'd plotted to go up their with my camcorder and camera to get some video or photos when the weather gets nicer (if it ever does!) but there's no need as they've come to me!!
