Malcolm Welch said… Thanks for your comments on my photos Dan. Both taken at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve at Silverdale, north Lancs on Monday this week.
There are a couple of places where the marsh tits can be seen regularly if you put a little seed out and wait (both are right next to the reserve paths.) If you are interested in travelling up into Lancashire the reserve currently has a family of 5 otters who show often 2/3 times a day for up to half an hour or more. Also 3 snow geese are recent arrivals. You may also have heard there is a Glossy Ibis roosting with the little egrets and a great egret.
Hopes that info is of use.

Did you say you used to work in Shetland? When, where? I once knew a Dan when working for Pete Ellis at Shetland RSPB (2002-2003). Or are you another Dan? :-)
