"As the retailer who sold your friend the SG570 I feel I should comment on this post. The two clips that I was sent were of poor quality & I feel not representative of the general quality from the ScoutGuard SG570V. As a reputable UK retailer…"

"Some excellent point Gareth!... especially the bit about your wife and son!! :) My Bushnell was not bought to create top notch video... I have a 7D which can do that! I want, like you, to place it for periods of time, in locations that I do not…"

"It's not necessariy the mic that is the problem, but exactly where you place it. I have a Rode NTG3, with blimp and all the other bits and pieces. It cuts out the wind noise, but I still get the jets flying overhead at several thousand metres,…"

"Not being very technically-minded, I prefer to buy stuff that's more or less ready-to-use from the packet, so adapting security cameras isn't my cup of tea. Though, yes, I was aware the trail cams were just variations on that…"

Hi Annie.

Thanks for your comments. I use my nest box camera which I got from Gardenature. I put in it's own box on a stand so I can move it around the garden and put it as close as I need to. I will put a photo of it in Garden Album as it is set up now. John

I'll pop in from time to time, but I haven't really got the hang of this social networking lark yet. Hard enough to find time to get the cameras out, but at least I can do computer stuff after dark.
