Kate,

You may remember that I have had my doubts about the Bushnell Trophycam (going by the experience of others) in the past-  I have been told that much of these problems were causes by the 2010 version of the trailcam when Bushnell used a new supplier ?

However I was intrigued to find that the new Bushnell Trophycam 2012 appears to have addressed some of these problems. In particular I had complained about their 'rubbishy' infrared system for nightime stills and video compared to the Scoutguard SG550. However I now notice that the latest bushnell trailcam is on now the market and I was pleasantly surprised to see that bushnell say that they have addressed these problems. In particular they have now upgraded the nightime infrared system and I also see that they appear to have taken on board your suggestion by incorporating a system to vary the 'intensity' of the infrared  (using different shutter speeds) which is a very useful addition. All this is good but what is lacking at the moment is some videos to 'check out' these various alterations ....Kate, I know that you have trialled new Bushnells in the past but have you by any chance got  the latest 2012 Bushnell trophycam and if so have you had a chance to check out the new systems yet ?!  Any info would be appreciated...

Hi, Anytime James it does not matter. I suspect summer gives you more chance of daytime shots.

A very rare image of a Tasmanian Devil standing up in his back legs as a pure Marsupial Carnivorous!

Hi Max,

I was lucky enough to photograph Devils when I was down there in '96. So sad to hear they are disappearing. Had some great experiences photographing them in front of my tent, great little animals. That was at Asbestos Range NP. What is the lure you are using? I would be very interested to hear where they are still surviving.
