Comment by Dan Carrington on April 5, 2012 at 20:44 Hi All- have just invested in a MacBook Pro rather than an iPad or iPod Touch as it will be more helpful for work. However i have noticed that there is a severe lack of wildlife apps for the mac- is this the case or am i missing something? All the good apps only seem compatible with the pads or phones.
Any advice would be much appreciated as i don't really want to spend anymore money on other devices if i can help it.
Cheers
Dan:)
Comment by Mark Smithson on January 5, 2012 at 8:40 I use a great new app on Android phone and tablet for the birders out there. Its available on the Android Market its WP Checklist records your life list, year list, site list etc over 2000 photos and many descriptions ranges there is a free demo version to try (don't think there are restrictions) but its worth the money and you can help the developer if you want to add photos or descriptions or any other information. You are given acknowledgement for pic or vids. Give it a try its worth it
Comment by Nat & Dave Hall on December 15, 2011 at 21:09 Oh, am also relying on my "little black box" (iPod Touch) in the field. Here, have added some "must have" apps for Shetland, "N European Birds", "Dolphins & Whales", "Wild Flowers" and (less expectedly) "Trees" ... They have been invaluable :-)
