thank you Dan i thought it might be but was not certain it did not stay still long enough for me
Hi Linda- regarding your mystery bird- difficult to see properly but looked like a Greenfinch- hope this helps:)
i caught a short quick new bird on my birdtable i only mange to get a back veiw on footage but still can not work out what is i send it to you tube then post on my page or on he shortly
looking forward to what you capture on your camra John ,i know how filled i been just with a normal desk top cam looking out of the front room window at my birdtable and looking at my 3 nest boxes even though i can not get a closer veiw of the neat boxes at the moment
Sounds exciting John! I am preparing my nest boxes, but won't move the cams in until later as they are all on feeders at the moment!
Have spent today moving cameras around my garden and put two into nest boxes which have a Blue Tit roosting in each hopefully they will nest in them, plan to fit a camera up in small conifer tree where a robin has nested the last two years, have two other larger boxes up and if birds show an interest in them I hope to put cameras in them also.
This year I have taken to feeding birds on two large birdtables which I am finding much cleaner and easier to use, instead of hanging feeders, only have two hanging feeders one for peanuts and one for fat blocks, one table has 5cm netting around it so only birds smaller than Blackbird can feed on it, the other anything can feed on it. Also I am using a wheat free wildbird mix, more expensive but much less wastefull.
Not seen any Starling in my Garden but saw a Large number of them fly over my head when i Lock the cemetery up with my Brother
