Here are two shots of Canon 7D and Canon 5D mk 2 with home made microphone dead cats. They really do work a treat. So easy to make, just buy those cheap velcro stickers, cut a hole just enough for the mic, then cut out a piece of fur from one of those cuddly toys, millions of them at car boots, and hey presto you have good outdoor sounds in windy conditions.
