Thanks for the comment on the Meerkat photo. I have a Canon 550d, and I love it! I have'nt done an awful lot of video with it, but I am impressed with the quality. I find it really user friendly, but then again I've always had either Canon or Nikon SLRs, when I worked in a camera shop, a few years ago now admittedly, I had the chance to use lots of different cameras, and seemed to find those two the best, though if I had to be pushed, I'd go for a Canon every time, its all personal preference really.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/fishdogmax/ Thats my Flickr site, most of the recent pictures are from the 550d.
Thats one I took at Dartmoor zoo, with Jon Kirkham, one day in February, which was grey and rainy! (Great day out though) It'll give you an idea of what the Canon can do, it's not very good, but i'm still getting to grips with the video!!
Permalink Reply by Thomas Marks on May 26, 2011 at 17:02 I'm using a 550d at the moment, and very pleased with the quality. The 60d has the rotating screen though, which i can see being very useful for those low/high angle shots, which are essential for a varied shoot.
Permalink Reply by Myles Storey on May 27, 2011 at 15:07 Okey, thanks thomas. I already bought the eos 550D because it is much cheaper than the 60D.
Its still very new, so haven't got round to testing the video function.
