This may already be posted, I have looked but have not found it.  I have recently been very ill & out of touch.

I'm not sure how many of you followed the escapades of Hope the Black Bear cub, as featured in the BBC documentary about Lilly her mother, Black Bear Research & as a recent follow up series with Gordon Buchanan.

I happened to be online the first time Hope, as she was later named, could be seen by the Den Camera.

It is now confirmed that Hope the yearling cub was shot & killed by a Hunter recently.

I do not know how much her habituation with humans led to this disaster but it is a warning to all wildlife enthusiasts who are habituating animals for their filming & photography needs!

Please ask yourselves is Habituation really necessary for your project?

Fox digging, Badger baiting & illegal Deer hunting still goes on here in the UK!!!
