After getting highly commended last year, in the inaugral BWPA for my shot of a feather-footed flower bee, which was very humbling indeed for me, I can proudly say today that my shot of a cabbage white butterfly, (below) although not highly-commended like last year, has been acknowledged and included in the rather nice, glossy coffee-table book BWPA have produced this year (thanks to AA publishing) and will tour with some of the winning images in the national exhibitions.

The competition is fast turning into a resounding success I think (well... I would say that wouldn't I?!) and its an absolute joy to see photographs winning wildlife competitions that are not of big cats bounding across the serengeti or penguins swimming in the arctic.
I also feel very humbled that my little shot of a cabbage white, has two pages all to itself in the book and sits in a book alongside the likes of Mark Hamblin and Andy Rouse!
Many thanks to BWPA who run such an inspirational competition!
The winning images this year are really something else - and if you can't (or won't!) buy the book then do try to visit an exhibition near you.
My wife and have been invited to the awards ceremony and private viewing in London next week, which we will go to of course - its all very exciting!
Have any other TW members been acknowledged, commended or even WON owt this year? Are you going to the ceremony next week?
Thanks,
TBR
