As we head inexorably towards Autumn (my favorite season) the opportunities for wildlife photography seem to expand exponentially as our summer migrants head back to warmer climes and are replaced bt those seeking to winter here. What and where will you be hoping to go in the British Isles over the next few months? I, am lucky enough to be near the wash and can't wait for the huge quantities of geese to fly in. I love seeing the Red Deer rut and as the leaves turn to the beautiful autumnal colours and berries ripen the opportunity to catch on camera birds feeding on them.

Mark, coming froms someone that tends to specialise in insects I'm still mourning the loss of summer so struggling to relish autumn and winter just yet! That said I am determined to spend more time out and about and diversifying this year. I am aiming to head to Norfolk in the winter for seal pups, maybe take in Stubbs Mill too for the raptors. I've never done either so would welcome any insider tips for locations and best times etc.
Hi Matt. I had overlooked our smaller inhabitants so thank you for pointing that out. If you are looking for seals, Donna Nook I believe is the place, I've not been but planning to visit this year at the beginning of December when by all accounts you can't fail to see them. I have heard that theres a boat trip from Wells-Next-The-Sea to one of the sand bars but I'm not certain if that runs during summer months only.
